Current Insights (end 2009)  Clearly observed increased server energy at higher SIATs  Existing internal server controls (algorithms) not ready for ASHRAE inlet air temperatures.  Server fan speed will increase due to supply air temp, not actual onboard component temps.  Server energy at “idle” 75% to 80% of full-compute energy.  No power management enabled.  Huge amount of data being gathered requires advanced management system.  Without OSIsoft’s capabilities, data would overwhelm project. ©2009 Data Center Pulse, All rights reserved - http://www.datacenterpulse.org, Info: feedback@datacenterpulse.com
