Transportation <ul><li>All changes must be made in writing. </li></ul><ul><li>Please send in TWO copies of notes. </li></ul><ul><li>After school changes to transportation MUST be made by 1:00. </li></ul><ul><li>You must have a Car Rider number to avoid having to come in and sign out your child. </li></ul><ul><li>New policy will require a bus behavior conference WITH parents </li></ul><ul><li>These procedures are for the Safety of your child. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Safety <ul><li>Please be sure to fill out and send in registration cards. Please keep phone numbers current by sending in any updates. </li></ul><ul><li>New Access Control: Doors will be locked during the school day. You will only be able to use the front doors. </li></ul>

Attendance <ul><li>We need your child here and ON TIME. </li></ul><ul><li>Students who are not in their homerooms by 7:50 will be marked tardy. </li></ul><ul><li>Must be at school by 11:05 to be counted present. </li></ul><ul><li>Attendance is part of our Adequate Yearly Progress. </li></ul><ul><li>Please help minimize loss of instruction. </li></ul>

Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack <ul><li>You may prepay for lunches. </li></ul><ul><li>Lunch is at 12:28. </li></ul><ul><li>Please pack a substantial HEALTHY snack. </li></ul><ul><li>Water bottles with sports tops are allowed. </li></ul><ul><li>Students buying breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria upon arrival of school. </li></ul>

School Goals <ul><li>Math : 90% of Math Mania facts in less than 5 minutes </li></ul><ul><li>Writing : State rubric can be found online </li></ul><ul><li>Reading : Logs-1,000 pages per quarter </li></ul><ul><li>AR- 100 points for the year </li></ul><ul><li> 25 points per 9 ½ weeks, </li></ul><ul><li> at least 85% comprehension </li></ul><ul><li>Technology : Increase the integration of technology </li></ul>

Testing <ul><li>STAR: August, March, and May </li></ul><ul><li>CogAT: September 17th-19th </li></ul><ul><li>IOWA: September 22 nd -29 th </li></ul><ul><li>Used by middle schools for placing in leveled classes </li></ul><ul><li>Writing Assessment: March 4th </li></ul><ul><li>CRCT: April 21 st - May 1st </li></ul>
