It is expressed by combing a present or
imperfect form of the verb acabar (to
complete) with the preposition de and the
infinitive of the action verb.

I have just finished – Acabo de terminar
my homework. – mi tarea.
Acabo de terminar mi tarea.
Example: I had just eaten when he called.
I had just eaten – Acababa de comer
when he called. – cuando llamó.
Acababa de comer cuando llamó.
