What is an effective presentation? <ul><li>An effective presentation should include the information to help your viewers understand: </li></ul><ul><li>Your research question or problem. </li></ul><ul><li>Why your question or problem is important. </li></ul><ul><li>Your methods (how you attempted to answer the question, or examine or solve the problem). </li></ul><ul><li>The results of your research or problem </li></ul>

Tips for an Effective presentation: <ul><li>Tips for an Effective presentation: </li></ul><ul><li>By using the slide master you can create a great and simple design template. </li></ul><ul><li>Be constant throughout the presentation with font, backgrounds and colors. Also limit punctuation and putting words in all capital letters. </li></ul><ul><li>Watch your word count. Only use the key phrases and only include the important information. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Tips for an Effective presentation: <ul><li>Intensify your presentation with using contrasting colors. Light background with dark text is the best. Avoid patterns for backgrounds. </li></ul><ul><li>Too many special effects can hurt your presentation. This can mean too many animations or sound effects. </li></ul><ul><li>The proper use of good quality images can reinforce and complement your message. Also make sure that your images can maintain their impact and resolution when projected on a larger screen. </li></ul>
