  2. 2. MYP Technology Requirements: Course Hours<br />Minimum 50 hours/year per subject for all students in Years 1 –5<br />** Due to some academic requirements, some students are not in a Design course, but will be exposed to Design Technology through integration. **<br />
  3. 3. Our Model for MYP Technology Instruction<br />Computer Technology + Design Technology= Combined Technology<br />
  4. 4. At Canadian Academy: <br />Hybrid Approach<br /><ul><li>Design Technology Course – (35 hours) in

  6. 6. Integrated Projects (minimum 15 hours)

  8. 8. Uses the design cycle as a model for thinking
  9. 9. Students are expected to solve problems
  10. 10. Focus on the whole design process rather than the product
  11. 11. ICT (Information Communication Technology) integrated in all classes
