  1. 1. PURPOSE OF SITE 1. Is site's purpose clear? not entirely, the home page presents 3 options to the user: shop, read, support 2. Is the content the primary focus of the site and not overshadowed no by advertising? 3. Does the site avoid social bias (gender, racial, religious, or other yes types)? 4. Does site enrich and expand users imagination? no, there is good groundwork towards providing engaging content and info DESIGN AND STABILITY 1. Is information easy to use and find? no 2. Is site design appealing for intended audience? somewhat, again the concept is there but there isn’t a clear voice or focus 3. Is the text easy to read and not cluttered? fonts and text isn’t consistent and can be confusing to follow in terms of direction/use 4. Are users able to move around the site easily? not really, the navigation isn’t consistent and categories aren’t easy to use 5. Are the links pages well-organized and appealing? little to no links are provided - most are in the form of banners that lack clarity 6. Are the collected links well-chosen and useful to users exploring the links aren’t collected, but scattered with little use of keyword density subject? 7. Is the site design appropriate for intended audience? somewhat, again the concept is there but there isn’t a clear voice or focus 8. If the site is for games or recreation, are playing instructions n/a present? 9. Does the page load in reasonable amount of time? usually, however there are occasional lags 10. Is the page consistently available and does it load without images sometimes take a little time to load, but in general load times are ok problems? 11. Are required plug-ins clearly identified? n/a 12. Do the design elements and features (searchable databases, the music player isn’t visible to the user with no way to turn off or control animations, graphics, sound files, the site could use more image tools, such as: slideshow and expandable images introductory and transitional pages, and so on) enhance the site? 13. Are interactive features clearly explained? the music player isn’t visible to the user with no way to turn off or control 14. Is the site free of fees and requests for personal information? yes, there is no requirement to register an account CONTENT 1. Is the title appropriate to the site's purpose? yes, however the top header needs to clearly describe the purpose of the site 2. Is the content easy to read and understand by its intended overall yes, but there is a lack of keyword strategy and tags audience? 3. Is there enough information to make visiting the site worthwhile? yes, but its not always easy to find 4. If there is a large amount of information on the site, is there a search no search available, and there is a large amount of information available function provided? 5. Is the subject matter relevant to and appropriate for the intended yes, the content just needs to be refined audience? 13. Is the presented viewpoint comprehensible to the intended yes, the content just needs to be refined (scannable) and made more friendly audience? 14. Are the skills required to use the site's features and structure easy to use, no skills are required in order to use site appropriate and/or appropriately challenging for the intended audience? 15. Is the highest quality of content available on informational sites? no other sites seem to be used to share content, ex. facebook, twitter, wikipedia, etc. 16. Is the material on the site developmentally appropriate for the yes intended audience? (Health and life-education sites may include mature content.) ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS 1. Is the information on the site as good as a book on the same topic? potentially the content on the site could easily surpass available printed content 2. Is the site interactive and engaging? somewhat, again the concept is there but there isn’t a clear voice or focus 3. Is there a site map? no, there should be a site map
