Not Given to Wine (Not a drunkard ESV,No Brawler ASV)The Greek word literally means“beside wine.” Basically we aretalking about someone who istoo long at wine or intoxicatingdrinks.ASV translates no brawler, but noaccurate to take away drunkconnotation. Word does haveassociated bad behavior resultingfrom drink.Some do act loud and boisterouslike a drunk , that’s not man-like.
