She tried to make England return to the Catholic faith and many Protestants who refused to do so were killed by being burnt. It happened because he had to marry </li></ul><ul><li>his elder brother’s wife who was </li></ul><ul><li>nearly twenty years older </li></ul><ul><li>than he was. </li></ul><ul><li>After the marriage he asked </li></ul><ul><li>the Pope for the divorce but </li></ul><ul><li>he wasn’t allowed to do so. </li></ul><ul><li>That was a good excuse for him </li></ul><ul><li>to get rid of the power </li></ul><ul><li>of the Vatican. </li></ul>

The Welsh needed a new prince, and at the public ceremony at Coronation Edward I made his own baby son (later Edward II ) Prince of Wales. </li></ul>

There is a sad and beautiful story about a Dublin girl, Molly Malone. </li></ul><ul><li>She sold cockles and mussels </li></ul><ul><li>in the streets of Dublin. </li></ul><ul><li>When she was still young </li></ul><ul><li>she became ill and died, but her </li></ul><ul><li>ghost lived after her. </li></ul><ul><li>The poor people of Dublin loved </li></ul><ul><li>the song so much </li></ul><ul><li>that they decided to put up a </li></ul><ul><li>monument to her. </li></ul>
