Program objectives <ul><li>Identify, trial, deploy and mainstream the implementation of “cutting-edge” educational technologies and learning management services to support teaching and learning in TAFE NSW. </li></ul><ul><li>Capitalise on previous TAFE Online (TOL/TOL2) programs with a shift in focus to service delivery, capability building and the implementation of educational technologies to benefit teaching and learning. </li></ul>

  4. 4. Program History 2 <ul><li>2005-2008 TOL2 </li></ul><ul><li>Client Engagement </li></ul><ul><li>Building partnerships with clients including small, medium and large businesses as well as community groups and organisations to engage them in flexible delivery and e-learning. </li></ul>

Program History 3 <ul><li>2008-Onwards TeLS (TAFE eLearning Systems) </li></ul><ul><li>Embedding E-Learning </li></ul><ul><li>Clear focus on embedding flexible delivery, e-learning and innovative new delivery practice across TAFE NSW to establish it as the mainstream form of delivery. </li></ul>

  7. 7. TAFE NSW VLE 2 <ul><li>The fundamental aim of this project is to deliver the e-learning systems, services and capability building required to support the mainstream implementation of flexible, personalised learning including e-learning in TAFE NSW. </li></ul>

TAFE NSW VLE 3 <ul><li>Service objectives and needs addressed by VLE: </li></ul><ul><li>More services are available beyond the classroom/campus including the workplace and remote or regional areas </li></ul><ul><li>More diverse ways to deliver customised quality teaching and learning solutions </li></ul><ul><li>More services are customised around individual learner needs rather than via traditional “course” boundaries </li></ul><ul><li>Faster access to the latest teaching and online learning resources, tools and technologies </li></ul><ul><li>Increased service flexibility enabling increased engagement by TAFE staff in community and industry capability building </li></ul>
