Developing Partnerships <ul><li>Relationships based on Common Interest </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Donors with a passion for business, and development will have a passion about ensuring your project and group success </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Think about your in-country project, and find local entrepreneurs in the US who are doing similar work </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Think of donors as partners </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Ask for their advice and expertise </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Keep Them informed through project reports, meeting invites and events </li></ul></ul>

Sustaining Relationships <ul><li>Follow Through </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Debrief donors after each brigade, explaining the results of their donation, and the new needs that have developed </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>They know that success is long-term, and will value it more if they feel a personal commitment </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Develop a structured commitment </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Ask for long-term commitments, and set up structured donation plans for your org. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Invite them to come on a brigade! </li></ul>
