I'm excited about the evolution that the Job Marketplace is continuously experiencing. The new 2.0 social networks and tools have radically changed the traditional establishment. The more we learn about it, the more we will be in a good position as recruiters, head hunters and ... job seekers!
This is my vision on how the recruiting will be done in the upcoming years.
Don't resist change ... embrace it!

 3. 3. How do Recruiters embrace social networks?

They will need a tool that enables the connection of the company with the social networks

They won’t need an INHOUSE costly database with Millions of entries of candidates and CVs, notes, …

The candidate database will be OUT THERE in the social clouds

The tool just has to have a module to add comments, details, notes on the canidates and then integrate with your legacy systems

By: Jordi Gili Please follow tomsawyer.es
 4. 4. How do Recruiters embrace social networks? (2)

Just imagine not having to keep your database updated and at the same time permanently connected with millions of candidates

The tool will have to CRAWL the social networks (Linkedin, Facebook, Xing, …) for you

According to Linkedin’s CEO: “People with 10 or more connections on our site are not likely to lie on their resume”

By: Jordi Gili Please follow tomsawyer.es
 5. 5. Mind-set Roadblocks

Several companies will fear that loosing control of their database can be a threat, or not even legal

That is just a mind-set. Embrace the change! IT IS HERE, those who don’t will definetely be less competitive

“ changes aren’t permanent, but change IS” – Neil Peart

By: Jordi Gili Please follow tomsawyer.es
