Miracle #1 –The Feeding ofthe FiveThousand (vv. 30-44)Mark 6:30-31The apostles returned to Jesus and toldhim all that they had done and taught.And he said to them, “Come away byyourselves to a desolate place and rest awhile.” For many were coming andgoing, going, and they had no leisureeven to eat.

Nowmany saw them going and recognizedthem, and they ran there on foot fromall the towns and got there ahead ofthem. When he went ashore he saw agreat crowd . . .

He did not want anyone reading ofhis “little faith” . . . but now I believe Peterinstructed Mark to leave him out of thestory precisely because he did walk on thewater. Humility is the reason for Peter’sabsence from the story, not pride.”(MichaelCard)

  24. 24. A post-script . . . (vv. 53-56)Mark 6:56And wherever he came, in villages, cities,or countryside, they laid the sick in themarketplaces and implored him that theymight touch even the fringe of hisgarment. And as many as touched it weremade well.
