  9. 9. Revelation 15Three realities which demonstratethat the wrath we see in the book of Revelation is something we should expect to see! (Why is God so angry?)

Rev. 15 – God’s plan.Revelation 15:7-8And one of the four living creatures gaveto the seven angels seven golden bowlsfull of the wrath of God who lives foreverand ever, and the sanctuary was filledwith smoke from the glory of God andfrom his power, and no one could enterthe sanctuary until the seven plagues ofthe seven angels were finished.
  27. 27. 1. In a day and age when the Churchis so enamored with the love ofGod, we cannot – we MUST not –lose sight of the wrath of God.
  28. 28. “The wrath of God will be finished one day. He will be satisfied. Sinners willnot escape. Will you facethat wrath for yourself, or will you flee to Christ, who faced that wrath for all who would trust him when the Father forsook him at Calvary?” (James Hamilton)
  29. 29. 1. In a day and age when the Churchis so enamored with the love ofGod, we cannot – we MUST not –lose sight of the wrath of God.
  30. 30. 2. When we are tempted toquestion God’s ways (especiallywhen trouble strikes), we mustremember that His ways are justand true and that he alone is holy(wholly other)!
  31. 31. Isaiah 55:8-9For my thoughts are not your thoughts,neither are your ways my ways, declaresthe Lord. For as the heavens are higherthan the earth, so are my ways higherthan your ways and my thoughts thanyour thoughts.
  32. 32. Revelation 15:3-4“Great and amazing are your deeds, OLord God the Almighty! Just and true areyour ways, O King of the nations! Whowill not fear, O Lord, and glorify yourname? For you alone are holy. All nationswill come and worship you, for yourrighteous acts have been revealed.”
  33. 33. 3. No matter how tough you have itHERE, take hope . . . there is cominga time when your anguish will bereplaced with joy!
  34. 34. Revelation 15:2-3And I saw . . . those who had conqueredthe beast and its image and the numberof its name, standing beside the sea ofglass with harps of God in theirhands. And they sing the song of Moses,the servant of God, and the song of theLamb . . .
  35. 35. Romans 8:18For I consider that the sufferings of thispresent time are not worth comparingwith the glory that is to be revealed to us.
