Connecting people with information they need is the main reason why I decided to become a librarian. During my undergraduate studies, I became enthusiastically interested in pursuing a career as a library subject specialist in Latin American and Iberian Studies. In order to accomplish this goal, I started building my curriculum by enhancing my academic background in both Library Science and Hispanic Studies. In 1999, I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship that allowed me to strengthen my education and acquire work experience in three prominent institutions: the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, and the Universities of Pittsburgh and Notre Dame.
