Roll out of locality working <ul><li>Concerns expressed about a new tier of bureaucracy and the role of elected politicians </li></ul><ul><li>The original proposals for the development of Locality Based Partnerships have been refined to take into account the feedback received </li></ul><ul><li>The approach proposed acknowledges the role of ward members as community leaders and is flexible, recognising that ‘ one size does not fit all ’ </li></ul>

Locality lead officers <ul><li>The new way of working will be supported through existing staff/resources and each of the localities will be supported by Senior Managers who will have a key role in: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Organising local members briefings (based on the localities) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Locality lead officers will have the role of managing relationships with other organisations </li></ul></ul>

Parish Precepts <ul><li>We keep talking about Participatory Budgeting </li></ul><ul><li>We Extended the deadline for precept submission to 31 st January 2012 </li></ul><ul><li>We are trying to protect front line services in 2012/13 </li></ul><ul><li>If Parish Councils want to increase the levels or frequency of service they can – and should budget for it </li></ul><ul><li>We need a discussion on how the precept will be used going forward </li></ul>
