  1. 1. PHOTOSYNTHESIS ORGANISM ENERGY PLANTS PRODUCE FOOD
  2. 2. These areproducers
  3. 3. Producers Plants are called producers. This is because they produce their own food! They do this by using light energy from the Sun, carbondioxide from the air and water from the soil to produce food - in the form of glucose/sugar.
  4. 4. The process is called photosynthesis.
  5. 5. Photosynthesis The cycle of plants and how they make energy! Thesun(light energy), water, minerals and carbon dioxide are all absorbed by the plant. The plant then usesthem to make glucose/sugar, which is the energy/food for the plant. Oxygen is also produced by the plant in this cycle, which is then let off into the air! Have you noticed how clean and pure the air feels when there are plants around? They are filling the air with oxygen!
