“Adding architectural detail like
wainscoting doesn’t have to be
expensive or time-consuming.
Using a company like Wainscot
Solutions is definitely a way to
add high-value details.”
For more advice from Michael,
Where to use it?
Use panel wainscoting in rooms and entryways where you can
stand back and appreciate it. “Pencil Panel” (see left) works
better in close quarters- hallways, mudrooms and utility areas.
Stairs and Hallways
Adding the wainscot panels to the wall leading to the living
room and up the main stairwell visually enlarges the dining
room andprovides a continuous look.
Cleverly adding tall wainscoting panels in a dining room to
create a dramatic backdrop. Paneling can also double as the
back and sides of a window seat in a breakfast nook.
Because wainscoting was created for rooms that receive a lot of
wear and tear what better place to add this architectural detail
than to a room where finger paints and crayon are the norm.
Ceilings take up the same real estate as the floor, few people
consider spending even a fraction of their decorating budget
on the ceiling design to make it stand out and up above the
rest. Adding paneling to a ceiling will create an aesthetic di-
mension you never knew existed.
