Broadcasters are struggling to face the threat over-the-top content delivery platforms (Netflix, Hulu, Youtube...). As the end of linear viewing becomes a reality and viewing numbers keep plummeting, the ultimate question remains: how will broadcasters keep their viewers hooked to their brand and how can they differentiate themselves from Netflix and the new contenders?
We (Small Town Heroes) have been serving the broadcast industry in the Benelux with interactive TV experiences for the past three years. In this presentation we want to share our learnings (good and bad!) and explain the transformation the TV-industry is going through and how their role is changing.
We promise we won't bore you to death with theoretical models but will use actual cases from the field (Zapp Tekenapp, Blokken, Eurosong, Wie is De Mol, Ook getest op Mensen, ...)
