Description of Project The aim of the project is use the Intel IoT platform hosted in 1&1 cloud servers to make a demo of how easy you can connect any “thing” like solar power panels to Internet to: • Collect data • Connect things each other • Receive alarms • Manage power • Get statistics • Etc…
  4. 4. Our Solution • Use Intel Edison Arduino to connect and monitor things. In this case, solar power panels • Use Intel IoT Analytics platform to collect data, send alarms and use as a gateway between solar power panels • One Master solar power panel knows power demand and state of the rest of panels and control de slaves panels • Depending on power demand, the master connects or disconnects the panels knowing their state and the light radiation the receive. • All panels monitor temperature and light radiation. They disconnect in case of alarm and send the new state

Results • A complete smart solar power plant monitored in one platform. • Receive early alarms in our mobile phone, email, etc… • Data storage for thousand or millions of physical parameters to analyze them in future. • One cloud server with Intel IoT Platform allows us to make a rapid prototype and get data in just a few hours to have an idea on our proof of concept. • High scalable platform for any interested customer and installed in a few minutes in 1&1 cloud servers
