2. Goals
• Showcase my resume, projects, and skills
• Create “brand” credibility
• Reach potential employers
3. Purpose
• Target Audience: Potential employers or anyone
considering working with me in some fashion
• Significance: Viewers will be able to check out
what my style is like, what skills I have, etc.
• Uniqueness: I am the only me (I hope)!
4. Content
• Home: Info about me, menu of links to other pages
• Clips: Articles I’ve written
• Multimedia: Photographs, slideshows
• Design
• Resume
• Blog: To talk about projects, share some of my
experiences
• Contact: Email, phone, social media
10. Marketing: Action Plan
• Twitter
– Twitter reaches a lot of people, and I already have an
account with some followers
– Focus on promoting my portfolio to reach potential
future employers and start building a reputation
– Hope to gain a few visitors a day—any visitors but
especially people involved in media
11. Marketing: Action Plan
• Email
– Create an email signature with the URL to my
website
– If I am interacting with someone through
email, there’s a good chance I’d like them to see
my site
– Hope to get one or two visitors per week from
this method
19. Marketing: Conclusion
• When starting from the ground up in
marketing—especially if you’re marketing
yourself—it seems like a good idea to start
with friends/acquaintances (Facebook) to
produce the best initial results.
