Growing up, I was a restless child
who was anxious to reach puberty,
become (somewhat) liberated from
my parents, and immerse myself in
innocent fun. Eventually, as maturity
got the best of me, I was eager to
prove my capabilities, as well as
make a difference.
First job: worked as a newspaper
carrier at the tender age of 12.
At the age of 15, I

Like most self-starters, along the way, I had my share of roller
coaster rides. In hindsight, I have no regrets with any of the
decisions and calculated risks I took. They tested my courage and
perseverance. Along with my education, I accumulated street
smarts. Today, this is referred to as the school of “Hard Knocks.”

My first full-time job was in the
insurance and financial services
industry all through my university
- Initially sold personal insurance (life,
health, disability, estate and pension
planning) for a prominent American
life insurance company;
- Was propelled to sales management
within two years;
- Was offered (and accepted) a
management position in Dallas, TX
with one of the largest financial
services firms in the U.S..
Following my success in the U.S.,
made the bold decision to resign
from my management post in
Dallas and relocate to Greece on a
fresh start. There, I began my
career in the merchant shipping
sector despite a difficult entry due
to a closely knit industry.
Ultimately, it led to a yachting
brokerage business despite the
challenging entrepreneurial climate
in that country. As a relentlessly
competitive and customer centric
individual, success followed shortly
thereafter serving discerning
clients predominantly from the
Middle-east, Russia and the U.S.
along with the ownership of a 42ft.
sailing yacht and a 90ft. motor
In 2006, received a three month
contract to serve as a logistics
coordinator onboard the largest
yacht at the time for a Middle-
eastern royal family. Mandate was
successfully accomplished and
extended for an additional month.
In 2007, sold my yachting business share
to my partner and returned to Montreal
where my business advisory firm was
born. Subsequently, made a positive
impact for many entrepreneurs -- start-
ups and existing businesses alike.
A voracious writer, my blog grew to an
average of 15,000 unique visitors
annually since its inception in 2010 and
my book was released in 2012 with a
solid fan base.
In addition to consulting, I coach,
mentor and lecture.
