  34. 34. #1 Account setup Username •This is the most important element when setting up your Snapchat account •Your username is the @username that people will use to send Snaps to you and is used to add you to their friends list on Snapchat •Consider branding your username with your business name or with your real name if you’re an individual •It’s also a good idea to keep some consistency between your Snapchat name and your other social handles

  38. 38. To Take a Photo: Tap the circle once and it will capture the frame To Take a Video: Hold down on the circle and it will begin recording your video. Hold down on the circle for as long as you would like the video to be. The max length of the video is 10 seconds. #2 Sending a Snap When you get started, you’re going to come across a screen like this.
  39. 39. If you don’t like the first version of your Snap, you don’t have to worry. View your Snap before sending it! Decide if you want to send it or delete it by clicking the “X” in the top left corner. #2 Sending a Snap
  40. 40. Select the number of seconds the recipient will have to see the snap before the photo disappears. Select the length of the time a user can view your content by tapping this little clock. #2 Sending a Snap
  41. 41. After taking a snap, simply tap the middle of your screen and you will be able to type a short blurb of text for the recipient to read. Once you have written the text, tap anywhere to exit out of the caption interface.   48. 48. Filters: Once you've taken a photo, simple swipe left or right and you'll see a message which says 'turn on filters'. Click the 'I want filters' button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the 'additional services' part of the settings menu where you can tick the filters box. Note that you'll need to enable location to be able to switch them on and for some to work properly. Snapchat will load several lenses to the side of the capture button, which you can slide through to access. Instead of offering the same range of lenses on a day-to-day basis, the selection is updated regularly, removing the oldest Snapchat lens and replacing it with a brand new one.

Tapping on their “ActionMoji” BitMoji avatar opens their Story. Or lets you message them directly to make meetup plans. Snapchat automatically picks an ActionMoji for you based on your location, time of day and other factors.
