  5. 5. Our dynamic agenda solution is great way to ensure your event will be on time and your customers will be well informed about the upcoming speakers and activity. This solution allows you to dynamically populate your agenda. Our software will communicate with your spreadsheet to display the accurate information, and you can update and make changes in real time. The agenda will continuously scroll to show the complete lineup of events. Current activity is clearly shown in the highlight bar at the top. Our video wall solution is linked to several webcams located throughout your venue. Each camera feed can be published to a different “zone” of your screen. Each display has its own PC and each PC is either connected directly to the Internet or the PC’s are networked together and the network is given a broadband Internet connection. Generally speaking, the PC data connection is wired but can be wireless. Updates are handled by the on-site programmer, who also serves as technical back-up to the equipment and will be available 24/7 throughout the show.

  18. 18. FAQ how does it work? What kind of items can I play in the text crawl? News feeds like CNN Top Stories, Sports, Financial News, and more. Do I have to pay for Internet-based feeds? Generally speaking, no. Most feeds are free. Can I run and schedule my own personal text instead of news feeds? Yes. How often can I make changes during the show? As often as you want. The system is live on show site. We do ask that you help us understand how often you are likely to be making changes so that we are adequately prepared. Who sets up the PC data connectivity? The equipment rental company. Applicable internet usage fees apply. What format types do you accept? txt, swf, ppt (not pps), avi, wmv, mov, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, wmv hd, mpeg-4, tiff, jpeg, bmp, png, html, rss, xls, xml, nss, doc How does scheduling work? Generally speaking, your ad play will be broken into a percentage of available playback. Thus, if you are a platinum sponsor you can be guaranteed a certain percentage of available ad playback slots .
  19. 19. FAQ how does it work? What screen sizes do you offer? Generally speaking, 40”, 42”, 50” and 60” are readily available. Other size screen can also be made available. When do I need to submit content? At least 2-3 weeks before setup. We recognize that you may have changes up to the show as well as additional changes during the show. Our recommendation is that we receive the majority of the content and the event schedule with a 3 week lead time. Can I sell ad space up to the time of the show? Yes. In fact, you can sell ad space during the show as well. How many signs can I have for my event? If your system is funded by advertising, then the number of screens is proportional to the number of sponsors. What sizes can I submit content? The ad playback area is formatted for content produced in a 4:3 aspect ratio, thus video, Flash, and PowerPoint files will automatically be resized to fit this region on the sign. Video submitted in 16:9 aspect ratio will playback with a black band on the top and bottom of the video.

Digital Signage By SmartSource AspenTech – Ovearall Room Agenda w/ RSS Feed Aspentech – chose to use the digital signage as an overall event agenda allowing there conference attendees as quick way to locate there session and room location without having to open up there conference program. We were also able to provide live updated event information utilizing the RSS Feed at the top of each sign giving attendee up to date changes throughout the event.
  22. 22. Digital Signage By SmartSource Grainger – Ovearall Room Agenda w/ RSS Feed Grainger Industrial Supplies – chose to use the digital signage at there annual event. We had 10 40” LCD monitors located at strategic locations around the venue.
  23. 23. Digital Signage By SmartSource PITTCON – Ovearall Room Agenda PITTCON had choosen a little different approach then the 2 previous examples. PITTCON used a 63” Plasma to outline there overall event agenda where we displayed the category the session was, title, presider, room & start time of the event.
  24. 24. Digital Signage By SmartSource Eagle Investment – Ovearall Room Agenda Eagle had placed these overall event agendas outside each of there meal functions. To the right of the screen you see a sponsor logo. This group was able to get a sponsor for both the lunch as well as the agenda to be placed at the entrance of the function. This shows how getting sponsorship can help with the overall cost of the signage

Digital Signage By SmartSource PITTCON – Room Agenda Outside of select rooms PITTCON had chosen to place digital signage outside select session which allowed the attendee to see the name of the session in progress. PITTCON’s sessions were laid out in Tracks with multiple talks within the session. We were able to highlight these specific talks with the “In Progress” and “Up Next” parts of the screen. Allowing attendees to see what was going on currently in the room.

Digital Signage By SmartSource Eagle – Room Agenda Outside of select rooms Eagle had chosen to place digital signage which allows the attendee to see the name of the session in progress as well as the time remaining in that session. They also had the screen laid out so that the attendees would be able to see what was coming up next .
  27. 27. Digital Signage By SmartSource Lockheed Martin – Flight Board Lockheed had chosen to over the attendees a way to check there flights prior to ever leaving the conference. This was very helpful as the last day of the event there was a storm in the area. This product allowed attendees to see if their flight was delayed or cancelled. These signs are great for sponsors as we have the ability to incorporate there logo or multiple logos as well.
