  1. 1. Who What When Where Why ? How Whiplash Rehabilitation Device
  2. 2. A product needs to be created that enables the patient to continue their recovery outside of designated physiotherapy sessions. The product needs to be a benefit to both physio and patient, therefore should be cost effective, comfortable and give the patient confidence and motivation to correctly further their recovery at outside of professional treatment. 3. 3. Primary benefiter: the patient Because: - current product is ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘awkward’ - can only be used while lying down - exercises carry a lack of motivation and stimulation Secondary benefiter: the physiotherapist Because: - they will now have more time to designate exercises. - can allow patients to continue recovery correctly at home Whiplash Rehabilitation Device

  7. 7. The current method of treatment is the Stabilizer ‘Bio-Feedback’ device. However this device was designed for back injury treatment and adapted to neck injury treatment so it has several flaws 1 when first picked up it could easy be interpreted as having any of 3 different uses. when exercises are being carried out the device requires 2 the user to hold the pump/pressure gauge aloft for the duration. the device has an expensive price tag, this means physios 3 are either unable or reluctant to give them to patients for home use.
