  2. 2. Step 1<br />After opening InDesign, create a new document.<br />
  3. 3. Step 2<br />Select the picture frame tool <br />In the document draw a picture frame box<br />
  4. 4. Step 3<br />Under the File menu, click Place (ctrl + D)<br />Select the picture you want to cut the background out of<br />Right click the <br />picture frame, drop <br />down the fitting menu,<br />& click fill frame <br />proportionally<br />(ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+C)<br />
