  • What makes a podcast a podcast What is T is for Training What is ALI
  • (computers are not free, but we have them already)
  • Tis4T:  Constant Environmental Scan of Training and Library World via Social Media and Networking. Preproduction: Compost Blog Post as Show Tickler, Write Twitter Messages day before/day of show.  Schedule
  • initiating discussion amongst professionals  a key word is FREE [pas de dues....] peer training constant/consistent [not once/twice a year] "de-siloed" i always thought ALA was uber "tracky" -- ACRL instruction here; PL instruction there tweetups unconferences twitter webjunction blogs podcasts friendfeed [lsw, librariology, etc.] nings = customized social networks [transliteracy ning]   a benefit --  facilitates "cross-professions" -- with the library world/info other related fields as well [education, professional development orgs, corporate training, instructional technology, human resources] we can learn from others -- even if not "librarians" per se]. another benefit -- timing is everything -- point of need; get access to a "pool of experts" at the time you're looking for feedback/guidance/etc How does this fit into our annual review/promotion process?
