The Web of Change board is launching a new program to build stronger regional based communities. Web of Change Local (or WOCL) will attempt to take the essence of the Web of Change experience and scale it down to a shorter-format, less cost and time intensive offering to make out work more accessible. Check out this brief presentation on how the pilot program will roll out. Editor's Notes
- Creating stronger regional communities and making our work more accessible by supporting attendees to convene WOC branded, two day “Web of Change Local” events in communities.
- Many informal social events have already taken place, often around other conferences or gatherings (such as NTEN, SXSW, PDF, etc), to connect the WOC community together. As part of our efforts to extend our values and impact beyond our 5 day intensive conference offering, WOC will work closely with local volunteer organizers to co-convene a series of smaller scale, local, community-driven gatherings in regions around the US and Canada.
