Cultivate Your Mind Body Connection
Do you know how your body and mind are connected and you can
cultivate your mind-body connection for the betterment of your life? The
power of your subconscious mind and your body are like two strands of
thread. When used separately, the strands weaken. However, when
braided, their strength increases.
Simply put, when your mind and body are working independently or
working against each other, your body weakens. The risk of failure also
increases. This lowers quality of life over time. However, if they working
towards accomplishing a common goal; you develop the zeal or strength
to overcome your limitations and succeed.
How is the mind and body connected?
The mind is an intangible part of our lives. It plays a critical role in
decision making and often dictates how the body react to situations. For
instance, how many times have you or a relative fainted or became ill
unexpectedly after receiving bad news?
People who are worried or stressed often flood their subconscious mind
with negative thoughts or emotions, and hence, manifest negativities in
their lives.
Here is how this happens: When the subconscious mind is
overwhelmed with negative thoughts and emotions, your brain
converts them into biochemical energy. It then communicates the
energy to your body via nerve impulses.
If left unchecked, the web of negative energy your mind sends to
your body overwhelms it, leading to mental problems and poor
physical health. It also spurs failure.
The mind body connection also comes to play when you are happy
or in high spirits. In this case, however, it creates a divine matrix
between the two states, which improves physical and mental
health, and spurs success.
How can you strengthen the mind body connection?
Contrary to what many individuals think, strengthening the mind and
body connection to manifest positive deeds in life is not an arduous task.
You do not have to use medication or unorthodox techniques as many
think, because the connection is already existent in your life.
You only have to cultivate, strengthen, and harness its power to better
your life. These tips can help:
To cultivate your mind-body connection for the betterment of your life,
the first thing you should do is to avoid stress. Health professionals
worldwide have found a positive correlation between high stress levels
and the risk of developing muscle pains, blood pressure, and heart
problems.
If work and relationship problems are causing undue pressures in your
life, one of the best strategies for preventing the web of negative energy
from manifesting is meditating. Find a calm place, relax, and then focus
on your problems. You will normalize the biochemical state of your body,
strengthen your mind-body connection, and manifest good things in your
life over time.
Apart from lowering stress, you should always think positively, if you
want to strengthen your mind and body connection. Even though
meditation can help, consider reciting positive affirmations or using
positive imagery to alter your line of thoughts.
Evaluate your situation and write down ten or more positive affirmations
that solve your problem. Make sure that your affirmations are succinct
and interesting and then recite them as many times as possible daily.
Do you exercise often?
Even though many people do not like to ride or walk to work, or climbing
the stairs instead of the lift, adopting a positive lifestyle can help you to
lower stress and depression, improve self-awareness, improve mental
and physical health, and cultivate the mind body connection. You can
even join a local gym or buy a Pilates workout DVD and use it at home.
