Alejandro's Agenda  <ul><li>Monday, November 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>Weekend:  Pre-work--Survey on eChalk to choose country to represent for Model UN </li></ul><ul><li>Breakfast:  Checks eChalk email during breakfast.  Sees a message about Model UN. </li></ul><ul><li>7:45 am:  Arrives at school.  Talks to friends about country choices           </li></ul><ul><li>8:00-10:00:  Double period of science.  1st period is with Mr. Alvarado; 2nd period is online completing research about current global problems in scientific development:  Driving Question--How do we provide access to technology to students in developing countries? </li></ul><ul><li>10:00-10:40:  As Class Representative, meets with teachers briefly in CPT for LSU; Goes to lunch while teachers finalize country assignments based on data </li></ul><ul><li>10:40-12:00:  With his class, Alejandro is informed of the country groupings.  He is in a group of 3 students who will research how to provide technology to students in Kenya.  His group uses a graphic organizer to research basic information about Kenya, including education. </li></ul><ul><li>12:00-1:30:  Alejandro goes to boys' literacy institute.  Students receive their scores on MDOLC from their last ELA Regents-aligned formative assessment.  They record their scores on progress trackers using their ELA DYO portfolios and compare their growth since the last assessment.  Finally, they use their data to set goals for the next assessment. </li></ul><ul><li>1:30-3:00--College Prep class.  Student groups are creating proposals to visit a college including budget, agenda, etc.  Winners will receive the money to fund their trip.   </li></ul><ul><li>3:00-3:10--Cleaning classroom with classmates </li></ul><ul><li>3:15-5:00--Goes to compensated internship at NYU's Chemistry Lab </li></ul>
