Goal 1: Curriculum Connections <ul><ul><li>-Different subjects can be related </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>-“School skills” are used in classes, for the Senior Project and in LIFE </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>-Effective written and spoken communication </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>-Problem solving </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>-Continuing to learn </li></ul></ul>

  9. 11. Senior Projects <ul><li>The graduation cord means you’ve accomplished something significant </li></ul><ul><li>Juniors should have a booklet NOW </li></ul><ul><li>Early proposals should be completed in May or October. </li></ul>VS

Advisory Period <ul><li>This period is meant to help you prepare to complete a senior project in an area that interests you. </li></ul><ul><li>You will also be able to connect with other students who have similar interests. </li></ul><ul><li>Attendance is mandatory and participation in the class can earn you high school credit. </li></ul>
  11. 13. Changing your Major <ul><li>Changing your major may be necessary as your college and career goals change. Discuss your plans with your current advisor or counselor, then complete ALL of the following steps: </li></ul><ul><li>Get a Major Change Request Form from your CURRENT Advisor. </li></ul><ul><li>Fill out the form and have your CURRENT Advisor sign it. </li></ul><ul><li>Take the form to your NEW advisor and have them sign the form. </li></ul><ul><li>Deliver the form to the Registrar’s Office. </li></ul><ul><li>Wait for administrative approval. When your request has been approved, you will see the advisor change on Skyward. </li></ul><ul><li>You may only change your major between now and October 1. </li></ul><ul><li>Then only at the quarter break. </li></ul>
