Collaboration in the Open Cloud PART 1: the way the wind blows

  1. En paralelo , tanto Mercado como Cisco se va moviendo hacia conceptos como el SaaS y el cloud computing y el discurso hacia negocio y herramientas colaboración , la web Social, abierta y semantica y aparecen tecnologias clave como los OPEN API abiertos ( vs SOA ) , los mash up , RIA,la web semantica ... lo que nos dirige a una autentica interconexion de servicios
  2. los espacios de colaboracion y hay unos cuentos "nativos" de espacios ( jive,Telligent,mindtouch, social text) con propuestas muy potentes en esta direccion Y por supuesto estan los servicios web personales de exito ( Twitter, Slideshare, Youtube,Box.net y muchos otros innovadoresetc..) que quieren su parte del pastel Box.net parte de compartir doc ( ppal ) pero añade todo tipo de funciones de colaboracion ( espacios, perfiles) y ha usado unas estrategias de Red de ganar audiencia( ecosistema, API , Free, Comunidad etc..) como linked in y ahora con Google apps etc..

Al final hay que entender que las reglas del juego han cambiado Basado en princios de la Red , Modelo Longtail , cloud economics No vamos a competir con un AM de Oracle o Cisco , en plan frontal , ciclos de venta largos y de relacion. Vamos a hacer una entrada de nicho, complementando(hub-spoke-hub) y entrando por la puerta de atrás ( servicios personales ) y donde mas miedo tienen (servicios gratuitos ) Y usando las herramientas que vendemos ; el poder de internet para las relaciones de negocio; el efecto red, la viralidad, la confianza .. y el liderazgo de pensamemiento , junto con algo de la vieja escuela , las ventas directas a targets muy selecctivos ( patrocinadores)

Esta es realemente una slide de un tipo Google ( el de los Activity streams.. ) , donde hablaba de su intencion no de hacer y dominar TODO ( modelo de los big 5, ser el 1 en cada mercado) sino de ser un componente Mas. Somos un componente de otras soluciones del ecosistema de Internet , un pegamento que hace de puente entre servicios web y les pone en contexto. Crowsorcing de empresas web

IBM , desde Sametime , hacia una suite completa Basada en Lotus MS, a parte de iniciativas como AZURE ( PASS) , e incluso opendoc ( con Facebook - tienen fuertes lazos- y participacion) anunciaron que el 80 % de sus empleados trabajan en la nube ( estan enla nube? dado el exito de MSN?) el caso es que Share point , MOCs etc.. apalancando en Outlook Cisco, que esta evolucionando su Webex ,no solo hacia Connect ( no se si acaba de tirar..) sino hacia lo que llaman Cisco QUAD ( interno , de cara al año que viene) que incluye ESP - enterprise social Platform,Connect , Cisco Pulse , Show & Share y estan en proyectos de iincluir twitter y linked in en su soluciones Contact Center, les llaman Customer Collaboration Pero , Open?; TODO en su orbita ..
