Affirmations are essentially positive statements that re-program your mind for the positive. The moment you have a self-defeating thought, affirmations allow you to counter that negativity with a motivating statement.
An example of a positive affirmation is: “I am worthy of great success,” or “I see myself in the winner’s circle.” What this does is replace your negative thoughts with the positive momentum you need to move toward your goals instead of away from them.

You may not realize just how negative your inner dialog really is until you start using positive self-talk on a regular basis. Don´t let your inner voice sabotage your goals right from the start. Get in the habit of using positive affirmations and you´ll be amazed at just how much your inner conversation has been interfering in your life.
