  2. 2. <ul><li>The thinnest layer of earth located outside the upper mantle. It is the top interior layer of the earth. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Upper Mantle: the interior layer of the earth surrounding the inner mantle </li></ul><ul><li>Lower Mantle: the interior layer of the earth surrounding the outer core </li></ul>
  4. 4. Core <ul><li>Outer Core: the liquid interior layer of the earth surrounding the inner core </li></ul><ul><li>Inner Core : the interior layer of earth surrounded by all of the other interior layers of the earth </li></ul>
