  3. 3. What If???  What if you had inside information about certain governments and nations around the world?  What if you possessed some heads up knowledge about the global economy?  What if you could accurately detect when, where, and what nations would be going to war in the future?  What if you could know about future technologies before they are created?  What if you could detect disaster before it happens?  What if you could use this knowledge to prepare family, friends, and yourself from harm?
  4. 4. 27% of the Bible is Prophecy  According to Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy, by J. Barton Payne, which lists 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament, and 578 prophecies in the New Testament.  That works out to a total of of 1,817, by his count. And prophecies involve 8,352 of the Bible's verses.  And because there are 31,124 verses in the Bible, the 1,817 verses works out to about 27 percent of the total, meaning one-fourth of the Bible is prophecy.
  5. 5. What Is Eschatology?  Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, 'Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? (Matthew 24:3).
  6. 6. What Is Eschatology? (es-kuh-TAHL-o-jee). A study of the end times. This is compounded from two words, Greek eschaton, "end," and -ology, a study of something (from Greek logos). The adjective eschatological (es-ka-tuh-LAH-ji- kal) refers to events of the end times.
  7. 7. Why Is It Important  Eschatology provides believers with a systematic timeline for the return of Christ. Although no one knows the exact date of the Lord’s return, through the study of end time events we can recognize the signs and seasons. This should create a sense of urgency within the body of Christ to labor in the Lord’s harvest fields. Eschatology also provides comfort and hope concerning our future with the Lord in Heaven.
  8. 8. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #1  Jesus will return (to judge the living and the dead)  Scripture Reference:  Matthew 24:29-31  Bible passage:  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other
  9. 9. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #2  No one will know the hour or the day of Jesus' return  Scripture Reference:  Matthew 24:36-37  Bible passage:  36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
  10. 10. 12. 12. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #4  The "day of the Lord" will take people by surprise  Scripture Reference:  1 Thessalonians 5:1-9:  Bible passage:  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
  13. 13. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #5  Gospel will be preached to the entire world  Scripture Reference:  Matthew 24:14  Bible passage:  14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

  15. 15. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #7  Jesus spoke of a day of unequaled destruction and suffering  Scripture Reference:  Matthew 24:21-22  Bible passage:  21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
  16. 16. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #8  Jerusalem will be trampled upon  Scripture Reference:  Luke 21:23-24  Bible passage:  23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.  24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
  17. 17. Nine End Time Prophecies  Prophecy #9  Jesus rule the world from Jerusalem for 1,000 years   Scripture Reference:  Revelation 20:4  Bible passage:  4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

  20. 20. End Time Players Israel The Church The Nations
  21. 21. Israel  God is not finished with the nation of Israel(Romans 11:25-29)  The time of “Jacob’s Trouble” will be a period of intense persecution for the Jews (Jeremiah 30:3-7)  There will be 144,000 evangelists ministering revival during the Tribulation Period. They are from the tribes of Israel (Revelation 7:1-17)  Israel will be saved from total destruction by Jesus Christ himself (Romans 11:26)  The Lord Jesus will rule the world from his capital at Jerusalem. (Revelation 21 & Revelation 22)
  22. 22. The Nations  The nations that are on the earth at the end of the Tribulation Period will be judged by Jesus Christ. Part of their judgment will be based on how they have treated Israel (Matthew 25:31-46)  There are specific nations that are mentioned in the Bible that will come against the land of Israel. There demise will be inevitable. Those nations include: Russia, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and nations of the Far East (possibly China, North Korea, ect)
  23. 23. The Church  The church is comprised of “born again” Jews and Gentiles who have put their faith in Jesus Christ for their salvation. (Galatians 3:28-29)  The church is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27)  God has not appointed his church to wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9)  Jesus will come for his church in an event called the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53)  Jesus will return to earth with his church at his second coming (Revelation 19:1-21)
  24. 24. Three Different Groups Three Different Judgments  Israel- the last “week” of Daniel’s 70th week is a seven year period of judgment upon the nation of Israel for breaking covenant with God.  Church- after the rapture the church will go the judgment seat of Christ in heaven. Judgment will be based upon what believer’s have done after they were saved.  Nations- unsaved gentile survivors of the Tribulation Period. Judgment the basis for entry into the millennium kingdom.
  25. 25. The Timeline of the End  Eschatological Timelines may vary with different views and beliefs but the order below is that which Pretribulationists believe:  1. The Rapture of the Church (Bema & Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven)  2. The Time of Jacob’s Trouble on the earth (7 year Tribulation Period of Revelation)  3. The 2nd Coming of Christ and the defeat of the enemies of the Lord at the Battle of Armageddon.  4. Judgment of the surviving nations and followed by the 1,000 year reign of Christ  5. The final rebellion of Gog and Magog defeated  6. The New Heavens & the New Earth  7. An Eternal State of Glory!!!
