As a front Cover I decidednot to use a Star image butinstead a inanimate object. The final image had an effect called soft light and glowThe Zippo lighter was perfectfor the connotation I wanted increase, this effect gave, I feel the image more textureto set. The connotation is and visual pleasure. The font I used was called “MV Boli”supposed to represent the reason I used the type of text was to gain the feelingsimplicity and a younger age of young writers and more so Graffiti Pen, making thewhen lighters are the panicle album more genre orientated to its brand and targetof all teenagers and how it audience.warms and gives light whichwe all need to survive This was the first edited lighter i used on Photoshop, I went for a warm but mysterious look, the font I used was very formal but did not follow the conventions for my genre. I played with both the gamma and both Hue and Saturation.
The inside of the CD case is a simple photograph with Candlesas the main point of interest, the candle holder is a silvertwisted table decoration, the plants on the corner that havebeen used were originally going to be cropped out, howeverafter a little testing I decided to keep them and make themreflect each other, I also played with the curves on Photoshopand added extra red hue and saturation to darken the imagebut make the flame seem brilliantly white.
The long shot taken here was taken in the hall ways in Aquinascollege, due to the clean white walls, it would be easy to edit as theare no other contrasting colours. The yellow lights were taken onWerneth low when taking a picture for the poster and front cover. There are only slight colour edits as the picture was near perfect. Thestar Image however has much done. Hue and saturation have beenapplied, blur tool has also come into play here, furthermore thepicture has been cropped. The song titles are the original songs of thealbum. The images on the left are just easy still shots that were manipulated to create the image we wanted. The record labels Logo is the original one of the official CD and we decided to use it to create authenticity.
This was a simple phototaken at about 5 O’clock atthe top of Werneth low inStockport. The dark cloudsand contrasting lights givea unique clean feel to thisposter. The image itself isa single shot, alternativelyit was to be used as thealbum cover however aftermany trials I decided to usit as the poster.
