Make money running a home business with network marketing

  1. 1. Make Money Running a Home Business with Network Marketing “Network marketing is the big wave of the future. It’s taking the place of franchising, which now requires too much capital for the average person.” – Jim Rohn, Business Philosopher and Motivational Speaker Let’s be honest. You’re reading this because you want to make money from a home business, correct? There could be any number of reasons for this: you’re disillusioned with the job market, worried about your pension plan or are just looking for financial independence. Any and all of those reasons are perfectly legitimate, and running a network marketing business is a perfectly legitimate option to consider. Amway, Tupperware, Herbalife, Avon, Mary Kay, Ann Summers and The Pampered Chef. Well- known companies and household brands that all base their business models on network marketing. So it’s by no means a new concept, but with the way the economy is at the moment it’s no wonder it’s becoming increasingly popular as more and more people are looking to venture into home based businesses to boost their monthly income. What network marketing is NOT First things first, don’t confuse network marketing with pyramid selling. The former is legal; the latter is not, having been outlawed as financial fraud in the US as well as dozens of other countries. Apart from that, the main difference between them is that network marketing involves selling products, while pyramid schemes are only about recruiting members. What network marketing IS Basically, network marketing is all about selling products. Distributors sell the company’s products and earn commission based on sales volume. That’s the “marketing” part. The “network” part is where the distributors recruit other people to sell the same products (their “downline”), and then take a share of those sellers’ commission. Over time the distributor does less selling as their network grows larger. Can network marketing work for you? If you’re serious and committed, then there’s no reason it won’t. Don’t imagine this is a scheme where you can sit on your couch all day and watch the zeros being added to your bank balance. There’s no network marketing business that will build itself. If you don’t treat it like a job, turn up every day, put in the hours and do the work, then you will fail. What if selling isn’t your thing? That’s not a problem if you do your homework and find a product you are excited about sharing and a business that makes complete sense to you. Just picture yourself using this product. Do you believe in it enough to share it with others? If so then your natural enthusiasm will transmit itself to your friends and family and the selling part will take care of itself. Plus many successful network marketing business owners are increasingly using the internet and social media as their “shop windows”. Success in networking isn't based on luck. Providing you choose a good networking marketing company with plenty of support and training available, then you can set yourself up to generate a lot of money and build a long term, sustainable home business.
