Proposal

  1. 1. Concept Pitch/ ProposalCRY
  2. 2. Concept/IdeaThe basic idea of our animation is to form the word ‘CRY’ out of varioussporting equipment to appeal and link with the target audience ofAthletes. We wont actually include characters in the animation, the location willbe based on a sports pitch to further strengthen that link with the targetaudience. The narrative of the animation starts with an empty shot of the field onwhich we will be filming it, then as the animation goes on variousdifferent sports balls e.g. tennis balls, shot-put, cricket balls, golf ballsetc will creep into the shot. From here they will will come together toform the shape of a heart. We have done this because the charity isabout heart problems in the young. Moving on from this stage in theanimation we will again start to the move the sports balls, into theshape of the letters C, R, AND Y to form the work ‘CRY’, this is whenthe animation will end.
  3. 3. PurposeThe effect we want this animation to have on the targetaudience is to compel them to donate more money money tothe charity and support them in any way they can. We willachieve this by inputting statistics into the animation to showhow much the charity needs help, and how much heartproblems in the young is a serious problem. The meaning that we trying to create is that the charity is needof donations and support from the public.
  4. 4. Key ContentThe length of the animation will be fairly short as we do not want it to drag andbore the audience because we feel this will lower the effectiveness of it.The narrative of the animation starts with an empty shot of the field on which wewill be filming it, then as the animation goes on various different sports balls e.g.tennis balls, shot-put, cricket balls, golf balls etc will creep into the shot. 5. 5. Target AudienceAppeal: I think the appeal to the target audience of the charitythat this animation will have is the fact that we are going tomake it as sports orientated as we can, through the use ofsporting equipment, the location (Sports field) etc.Genre: The genre of this animation will be ‘sport’Age: The age of the target audience I think varies from thepeople the charity is trying to help, which is the young peopledoing sport, and the older generations that will have the moneythat is going to get donated.Gender:The gender of the target audience is male of female asanyone can do sport, anyone could have a heart problem, andanyone can donate money.
  6. 6. JustificationHow will this idea be successful? - This idea will be successfulbecause we are making sure that we aim it at the right people, includethe right visual aspects, and the statistics that will help convince thetarget audience to donate and support the charity.Conventions - The conventions of the animation will include thesporting equipment.Audience Appeal - The audience appeal will be that we are including alarge sporting aspect in the animation therefore it will appeal to theathletes that the charity help.Creation - The way we will create this is by getting a DSLRcamera and putting it on a tripod, then we will slowly move thesporting equipment into the shot whilst taking pictures as we gothen when we put it all together in ‘Final Cut’ it will look like ananimation.
