  1. 1. When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.
  2. 2. Preschoolers and students from Grades 1-3 share one classroom.
  3. 3. Best friends Mary and Jae Ann, both 9 years old, are excited to see each other after typhoon Yolanda.
  4. 4. Learning can take place anywhere as long as there’s a dedicated teacher and students willing to learn. Even in a classroom with tarpaulin as roof.

  6. 6. And what is school time without a chance to play?
  7. 7. “A lot of structures and materials have gone but still, it’s better to be in school than to do nothing at all,” says sponsored child Shiela from Tacloban.
  8. 8. The World Vision team open the blue chests to cheers and children collect volleyballs, footballs, building blocks and craft materials.
  9. 9. “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”- Nelson Mandela
  10. 10. "My favorite book is titled 'Monica Dalosdos,'" said Illona, 9-year-old. World Vision provided 500 plastic bins used to transport the books from school to school.
