4. SEO Audit
Start With Google: Do a “Site:Domain.com”
search in Google to find out:
• How many pages are returned in SERP
• Is the homepage showing up as the first result
• If the homepage isn’t showing up as the first result,
there could be issues, like a penalty or poor site
architecture/internal linking, affecting the site.
5. Contents Check List
Title: Are your content’s titles catchy? Including keywords
in contents?
Content Length: Contents need to be 400+ words.
Keyword Targeted Content: Site’s contents are being
written targeting main keywords of your website?
Keyword Density: Keywords density need to be with
1.5%-2%.
User Friendly: Is the text broken down into easy to read
paragraphs?
6. Contents Check List
Duplicate Contents: Are you copying contents from
others? Do you already have duplicate contents in your
website?
You can use tools like SmallSEOtools.com or copyscape.com to check
plagiarism of your contents. Even you can check content’s uniqueness by
searching manually in Google!
Internal Linking: Are you giving sufficient backlinks to
related contents of your website?
External Linking:
Is there any outbound links on your website?
If so, do they pointed to relevant quality websites?
7. Meta Tags Check List
Meta Title: Meta titles should include main keywords
and unique. Length need to be within 55-60 characters.
Meta Description: Keywords must be included in
descriptions. Must be unique. Description length needs
to be within 155-160 characters.
Meta Keyword: No longer a ranking factor. So not
necessary to use. Instead, this practice may reveal your
targeted KWs to your competitors.
Heading Tags: Heading Tags are 6 types (H1, H2…H6).
For better result, use at least First 3 heading tags
(H1,H2,H3) in your targeted page.
8. Check List
URL Structure:
No excessive parameters or session ID’s
URLs exposed to search engines should be static.
Sitemap:
Already has a XML sitemap?
If yes, how well it has been optimized?
Did you submitted the XML sitemap to Google Webmaster Tool?
Robots:
Do your website has a perfectly optimized robots.txt file?
Has the entire site or important content been blocked via the
robots.txt?

URL Canonicalization:
Either WWW or Non-WWW version of site is specified in Google
Webmaster Tools

Loading Speed:
Whether the website taking longer time to load (standard
loading time is around 2-3 seconds)

Backlinks Number & Source:
Check the backlinks number and quality
Whether backlinks are coming from relevant websites.
Check anchor text variation
