Representatives. In his very first session, he was chosen as the
treasurer of the Freshman Member Caucus, and was the only
freshman member to sponsor and pass a bill in the Missouri
House and a senate bill in the 2007 legislative session. He

Graduate Award from the University of Missouri School of law in
September 2010. He was voted KC's Best Local Politician in
2008, and was counted amongst the up and coming lawyers of

America awarded him with Advocacy Award for his consistent
efforts for advocating for children with autism. He was honored
with KC Man of Year 2011 for and raised $3000 for Autism

5. At the time of second elections in 2008, Jason was re-elected
and won with 97% of the votes. This was a big victory and allowed
him the the opportunity to serve the state of Missouri for another
term. During this term, he sponsored and passed a landmark bill
that offered the parents of Autistic children the ability to obtain
insurance coverage that helps children and adolecents in the
diagnosis and the treatment of autism. The law has been
extremely successful and nearly 1.6 million Missourians have
been covered by it. A 2013 report from the Missouri Department of
Insurance shows that the state's autism insurance law continues
to benefit families affected by autism while having minimal impact
on health care costs.
