  2. 2. Name The scientific name for a toco toucan is ‘Ramphastos toco.’ A baby toucan is called a baby or a chick.
  3. 3. Way of Transport Toucans are not experts at flying even though they spend most of their time in the trees. When the do fly they flap their wings vigorously and glide, traveling only short distances. They usually hop in trees.
  4. 4. A toucan is an omnivore. An omnivore eats plants and meat. Omnivore, Herbivore, or Carnivore?
  5. 5. Weight and Length Toucans have a 7.5 inch bill, and are 25 inches tall. They are 20 ounces. The toco toucan are the biggest of all toucans. Hey! I am NOT that big!!
  6. 6. Where they Live They live in Central and South America, Eastern Bolilia, Southeastern Pero, Northern Argentina, Eastern and Central Paraguay, and Eastern and southern Brazil.
