Fact 1 There are 5 species of Rhinos. 2 species are endangered ● The Javan Rhino is nearly extinct. ● A Black Rhinoceros’ scientific name is Diceros Bicornis. ● Sumatran Rhinos are the smallest species of Rhinos. ● White Rhinos scientific name is Ceratotherium simum.The last male white rhino died in 2018. ● Greater-White Horned(indian rhino) Rhinos have
  4. 4. Javan Rhino ● The only remaining Javan Rhinoceros live in Ujung Kulon National Park located in Java Indonesia. ● Javan Rhinos are about 6 feet high (1.8 meters), 12 feet long (3.7 meters), and weigh 3,500 pounds (1587 Kilograms). ● Its natural habitat is dense rainforest.
  5. 5. Black Rhino The black rhino has a pointed upper lip, while its white relative has a squared lip. The difference in lip shape is related to the animals' diets. Black rhinos are browsers that get most of their sustenance from eating trees and bushes. They use their lips to pluck leaves and fruit from the branches.
  6. 6. The Name Rhinosirous Means... Rhinosirous means “Nose Horn and is usually shortened to Rhino. The Scientific name is ‘Rhinocerotidae”.
  7. 7. Horn Power!!!!!! 1. Around 40 rhino horns have been stolen from a South African provincial park safe, in what is thought to be the largest such rhino horn heist in history 2. Rhino horns can grow up to 1-3 inches a year 3. The longest rhino horn recorded was 5 feet long.
  8. 8. How long do they live??? Most Rhinos live near 40-50 years
  9. 9. Weight Most Rhinos weigh around 5,000 lbs. With the exception of the Black Rhino, they weigh around 1,600- 3,000lbs.
  10. 10. Pack, Flock, Herd, Or what? A male rhino is called a Bull A Female is referred as a cow A group of rhinos may be referred to as a herd but they are actual called a crash.

Rocking Robot Robot comes from the Czech word “robota” which means “forced work or labor.” We use the word "Robot" today to mean any man-made machine that can perform work or other actions normally performed by humans, either automatically or by remote control. Robotics is the science and study of robots.
  12. 12. Senses Rhinoceros also have acute hearing and sense of smell, but poor eyesight over any distance.
  13. 13. Predators The only predator to Rhinos are Humans, Rhinos are herbivores meaning thay eat herbs and plants. Humans use rhino horns for quality items like decor, valuables, etc.
