  6. 6. Delhi 2010 <ul><li>Delhi is getting ready to host Commonwealth Games in 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>Executing many projects to make over the transportation system in the city… </li></ul>
  7. 7. DTC New Fleet <ul><li>1,500 New Non-AC Low Floor Buses. </li></ul><ul><li>1,000 New AC Low Floor Buses. </li></ul><ul><li>750 New Non-AC Semi Low Floor Buses </li></ul><ul><li>250 New AC Semi Low Floor Buses </li></ul>
  8. 8. 11,000 City Bus Fleet <ul><li>DTC has already procured 600 Non-AC Low Floor Buses and 25 AC Low Floor Buses. </li></ul><ul><li>It has placed an order for 1,500 Non-AC Low Floor Buses and 1,000 AC Low Floor Buses. </li></ul><ul><li>DTC is also planning to procure 750 Non-AC Semi-Low Floor Buses and 250 AC Semi-Low Floor Buses. </li></ul><ul><li>Transport Department also plans to introduce around 4,400 buses under the Scheme of Private Stage Carriage Corportisation. </li></ul>6,955 11,000 Source: STA as of 25 th October, 2007 and DTC Operational Statistics Bus Fleet Size in Delhi, 2007-2010 (Figures in Number) DTC Private Stage Carriage
  9. 9. Phasing out Blue Line Buses <ul><li>Transport Department is working towards replacing the Blue-Line Buses with new modern low floor buses under the Scheme of Private Stage Carriage Corportisation. </li></ul>

  12. 12. Separate Bus Lanes provide clear right of way for buses and make them faster and safer. Delhi BRT System moves more than 12,000 passengers/hr during peak time.

  14. 14. Light Rail and Mono Rail <ul><li>Project Technical Feasibility has been completed for both the projects. </li></ul><ul><li>It is recommended to develop Mono Rail and LRT Projects under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project. </li></ul>
  15. 15. Covering of Drains – Parking Facility <ul><li>A total area of 5,280 Sq. Meters to provide parking space for more than 120 cars. </li></ul><ul><li>The key purpose is to provide parking facility in Ambedaker Nagar area along BRT Corridor to prevent parking road side. </li></ul>Before (2008) After (2009)
