ASSIGNMENT QUESTION The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) affirm that high-quality, challenging, and accessible mathematics education for 4 to 6 year-old children is a vital foundation for future mathematics learning. In every early childhood setting, children should experience effective, research-based curriculum and teaching practices. (a) In this assignment, you are required to describe the TWO theories in learning of Mathematics and the influence of both the theories in learning Math skills for preschoolers. (b) As a teacher responsible for teaching Mathematics to preschool children (4, 5 and 6 years old), it is important to ensure that the teaching carried out is interesting. By using various sources, suggest TWO activities to teach Math skills (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, form, time, money, etc.) that match the ages of preschool children. Explain clearly both the activities. (c) Next, select an activity and implement it at preschool or kindergarten. Write your reflection with emphasis on the reactions of the children.
