Published on

Working is never just working. You want to get some money in the process, you want to become better, you want to experience something.
And you have decided to go freelancing all over everybody's ...websites.
A lot of people make this exact decision every second. 3-4% actually make some money out of it. Are you one of the 97% ? We can fix that.
Getting jobs, getting paid holds in itself a challenge, but once you get it, you are going to become better in other areas of your life as well. Trust, Communication, Partnership, Marketing, Investment - skills that we all need to become better.
My advice: dedicate yourself 100% to the whole course, and see how things just turn themselves around in your favor.

Getting paid on freelance websites (Odesk, Elance, etc.) as a web developer

  1. 1. Personal Course for enthusiastic web-starters
  2. 2.  Do you think just being good at something will get you a job quicker?  Do you know how much people put: “Senior PHP Developer, Jquery, Ajax, CSS, blaah.” in their profile page?  Do you wish you could have the magic gun that just shoots and out of it comes the next high-paying job opportunity for you?
  3. 3.  Not sure if such a magical gun actually exists. I really made that one up as I was typing up the presentation   BUT!!!  There are some tips and tricks which you can learn and they will boost your professional conduit.  There are also some tips about what you shouldn’t do. QUITE IMPORTANT!  YOU Have to LEARN how to MARKET yourself! It’s that simple.
  4. 4.  This would be your starters guide with ODesk, Elance and all other freelance platforms.  We will look at things such as: how should I bid, upfront payments, what to write to your clients, do you join agencies or not, and so much more;  You will start getting the simple idea that it’s not your super-duper PSD slicing skills that make you good freelancer – it’s you being a professional. Clients like to work with professionals, not know-it-all guys.  You will get a glimpse into the world of Marketing – because that’s how our world works – economy 101. What do people need?  You will get a glimpse into the world of Investing – because that’s what will really give you a boost. So much people work just for the 50$ at the end of the job!!! Why? You could earn soooo muuuuch MORE than that!
  5. 5.  My name is Ivan.  I have more than 5 years of experience in Web development.  I have had the luck to start my career being mentored by great developers with lots of experience.  I have been involved in websites of various complexity, and sometimes I have taught people and consulted developers.  I found that I LOVE to share knowledge and help. This makes me tick.  …and here I am. This is my mission.
  6. 6.  When you purchase a class, we are going to work with a Skype audio-video chat.  Before purchasing the lesson, please buy a headset if you lack one. ( note: you don’t need a camera ).  Also, make sure you can dedicate 1 hour and a half ( at most ) for a lesson.  At the end of each lesson, I give out assignments ( home works ) – be ready to do your home works.
  7. 7.  The next few slides provide overview of all classes.  If you are confident what material you need to know, buy the classes, corresponding to your needs.  If you don’t know which classes to buy, or don’t know where to start, contact me before buying.
  8. 8. Would you like to know more about the class?
