  • Modus operandi is a Latin phrase, approximately translated as &amp;quot; mode of operation”. The term is used to describe someone&apos;s habit’s or manner of working, their method of operating or functioning. In English, it is frequently shortened to M.O. An M.O. can help with investigations in identifying a suspect and revealing their habits.
  • “ The Double Event” known as this because both Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes were both murdered on the same night.
  • The final and worst of the victims. Mary Kelly was found at her lodgings, 13 Miller’s Court.

Detective inspectors Frederick Abberline, Henry Moore & Walter Andrews sent from Scotland Yard to assist. </li></ul><ul><li>Over 2,000 people interviewed & 300 people investigated. </li></ul><ul><li>Butchers, surgeons & physicians were suspected due to the mutilations. </li></ul><ul><li>Hundreds of letters written claiming they were the killer, three stood out in particular: “Dear Boss”, “Saucy Jack” & “From Hell”. </li></ul><ul><li>To this day the case as yet has not been solved & the identity of ‘Jack the Ripper’ still remains a mystery. </li></ul>
