### Tecnical drawing & polygonal shapes

1. 1. Tecnical Drawing And Polygonal Shapes
2. 2. a,what is a triangle ? write a definition. A triangle is a flat shape formed by three Staight lines that intersect each other. It has three sides and three vertices. Its Angles add up to 180º.
3. 3. b,describe the characteristics of a quadrilateral.what quadrilaterals can you Name? Quadrilaterals are flat shapes that have Four straigth sides , two of which intersect The other two. They have four sides and four angles and the Sum of the angles is 360º.
4. 4. c,name and define the important lines of a Triangle. The important lines of a triangle are : Heigth , middle point & middle point of a Segment . Heigth : this is measured perpendiculary to the Base in a straigth line to its opposite vertex . Middle point : is the middle point of any side of A triangle . Middle point of a segment : this is the line that Joins any vertex in a triangle to the middle Point of its opposite side .
5. 5. d,what is a trapezoid? How is it different from Quadrilaterals called parallelograms. A trapezoid is is a quadrilateral that none of Its sides are equal nor paralel . And its angles And diagonals are different . The angles are Not rigtht-angles and the diagonals are not Parallel. It is different from the cuadrilaterals called Parallelograms because the parallelograms. Because all the things are different . Trapezoid parallelogram
6. 6. e,draw the following triangles and Quadrilaterals giving step-by-step diagrams. Write simple instructions for each step. 1.a triangle with sides that mesure 65,55 and 45mm. 2.a diamond with the longest diagonal Measuring 60mm and its smallest diagonal Measuring 50mm. 3.a trapezoid with sides measuring
7. 7. diamont triangle
8. 8. trapezoid
9. 9. f,find a picture by richard anuszkiewicz That uses just triangles . http://rogallery.com/_RG-Images/Anuszkiewicz/w-312/Anuszkiewicz-Inward_Eye-3.jpg
10. 10. g,look for the picture ''grande toile grise By pour kassel'' painted by antoni tapies in 1964.what poligonal shapes can you see? I can see squares . http://www.artium.org/coleccion_catalogo/imagenes/02-250_1.jpg
11. 11. h,look for a basque sculptor who uses mostly Polygonal shapes in his works . http://www.telefonica.net/web2/enriquecastanos//images/abad_animal.jpg
12. 12. i,look for pablo picasso's''accordionist'' Painted in 1991 and georges baque's''violin and Palette''painted in 1909. what movement do They belong to? What similarities can you see? http://i27.tinypic.com/rw4a3p.jpg http://www.avenuedstereo.com/modern/braque_violin.jpg
