  9. 9. 5th GYMNASIO OF HERAKLION INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES Partner in a COMENIUS 2.1 project with title “CONFRESH” Teaching Methods and Pedagogical Strategies for the Promotion to Schools of CONservation and Sustainable Development of FRESHwater Ecosystems in cooperation with Portugal, Poland, Cyprus and United Kindom. Carrying out of a COMENIUS 1.1 project in cooperation with schools from France and Italy. Participation to international sports games with award. Participation to the European Competiton of the new consumer, with award. Visits of students and teachers to the European Parliament. Visits of students to European countries. A group of teachers from several European countries, visited this school, in the frames of Sokrates program, action Arion (study visit), in order to attend the teaching procedure. “moving drawing exhibition” with 11 European countries

Minoan civilization Our students and the pedagogical team of the teachers after having studied the specific historical period, come into contact with the researchers- archaeologists, visited museums and archaeological sites, after having cooperated with local authorities will start the action.

Minoan civilization They will present the daily life of the Minoans and the life in the palace. They will play music and dance their dances. They will cook and eat their food. They will dye fabrics and sew clothing. They will exercise themselves. They will wear their hair just like the Minoans.
