  2. 2. Tourism is an important economic driver • Total tourism GVA in the NT was $1.66 billion or 8.6% of total GVA in 2012-13. • 4.3% of the Territory’s total GVA is a direct contribution of tourism, representing $821 million. • Accommodation accounts for 19% of total tourism GVA
  3. 3. TOURISM VISION 2020 “To grow the visitor economy in the Northern Territory to $2.2 billion by 2020 as measured by overnight visitor expenditure."
