  6. 6. The Park Development is a premium mixed - use project with three main components: • 5 Star Hotel • Corporate Offices • High-end Retail spaces 1:500 SCALE at A3The Design Scheme provides 250 keys for a courtyard by Marriott Hotel, health club, retail and ground level andcirca 21,000 sqm. of high end commercial office space over ten levels. THE PARK DEVELOPMENT GROUND PLAN Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  7. 7. One half hotel and one half office, different in nature, function and aesthetics but harmonious as one unit. 1:500 SCALE at A3The OFFICE, functional and pragmatic, is subdued in its rectilinear form and responds to neighboring Khalifa Parkwith the reflection of the trees in the elevation. The HOTEL, imaginative and symbolic, uses a combination of traditional Islamic geometric patterns and undulatingforms of sand dunes as the inspiration for its textured, irregularly-geometric form. THE PARK DEVELOPMENT FIRST FLOOR Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  8. 8. Challenged to create a unique proposal that maximizes the sites potential and respond to its location between two roads, the building has been designed as an object - a strong form in its own right, rather than a piece of urban infill that has hidden elevations.1:500 SCALE at A3 THE PARK DEVELOPMENT THIRD FLOOR Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  9. 9. The perception of the building from all angles will therefore become important along with the changing views one will see from passing cars and act as a way finder or landmark for people going in and out of the City.1:500 SCALE at A3 THE PARK DEVELOPMENT TYPICAL FLOOR PLAN Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12

  11. 11. The development of the design concepts have evolved through close consideration of the environmental performance criteria which are essential to the ongoing sustainability of the building and landscape.1:500 SCALE at A3 THE PARK DEVELOPMENT SECTION A – A Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  12. 12. Sculpture: The elegant architecture begins with carving out unusual forms from a simple rectangular volume constrained by site limits.East West 3D Section 1:500 SCALE at A3 THE PARK DEVELOPMENT SECTION B – B Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12

  15. 15. Distinction: the building is redefining a landmark location at Abu Dhabis main gateway and gives new dimension tolow-rise urban landmarks amidst the wild obsession with high-rise landmarks. THE PARK DEVELOPMENT Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  16. 16. Contextual: shaped by its peculiar longitudinal site and distinct functions, the building responds to its urban, cultural and functional context by respecting the opposites. THE PARK DEVELOPMENT Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12
  17. 17. Sensitivity: Like an oasis in the desert, the building brings together opposites that attract: order and chaos, trees and sand dunes, the regular and irregular forms, leisure and business, rational and imaginative THE PARK DEVELOPMENT DESIGN DEVELOPMENT-Elevation Studies Building Information Modelling (BIM) | The Park, Abu Dhabi | Report 2010.09.12

  22. 22. 037‘LATTICE’ FAMILYHotel elevation is completed with lattices. Each lattice is an instance of the ‘Lattice’ family with in the Revit file. This family is a ‘Plane based’ family and was developed using the Plane based Generic model Revit template. Theparameters of this family are based upon triangular section and the variables are the height and the width of theTriangular section at each end. The length of the member is also set as a parameter of the family. Please note thatsince all the parameters of this family are Instance Parameters the variables are available on the Instances.
